Plodding

Artist:
John Suggett
Medium:
Print
Subject:
Figurative, Northumbria
Description:

£30.00

A black and white photograph in a ‘bygones’ type of newspaper inspired the original acrylic painting.
John imagined that the people illustrated were his mam and grandma at the seaside.
‘Plodding’ is the Durham way of describing paddling in the sea or a pool of water.. The word echoes the sound made as a footstep into the water - ‘plodge’.
