Ellie Lovett

Ellie Lovett is a fine artist whose work is inspired by nature and the emotions it evokes.

Through painting, she explores memory, feeling, and the quiet moments that words often cannot express, transforming them into expressive works that reflect what grounds us and brings us joy. With a deep and natural connection to the landscape, Ellie’s practice reflects the emotional processing of everyday life.

Her paintings offer a way of returning to place and purpose, drawing on the restorative power of nature and its ability to inspire calm, reflection, and happiness. Her work ranges from tranquil landscapes to vibrant florals and nostalgic interpretations of familiar places. Each piece becomes a personal response to experience whether rooted in memory, travel, or a fleeting emotional state.

For Ellie, painting is a personal journey: a way of unpicking daily thoughts and processing what words cannot fully hold. Through expressive mark-making and intuitive composition, she channels emotion into visual form, allowing each artwork to become a reflection of what grounds us and brings us joy.

Her practice has been influenced by artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Peter Lanyon, and Peter Goldsworthy, whose approaches to abstraction and landscape continue to inform her visual language.

Ellie has exhibited locally in Leicester and London and has participated in events including exhibitions at the NEC. Alongside her practice, she also dedicates time to tutoring children and adults, sharing her passion for visual arts and its emotional and therapeutic benefits and was a finalist for Business Person Of The Year for leading on a visual arts creative hub.

She sells work internationally and has received commissions from as far as the United States. Born and raised in Melton Mowbray, Ellie studied Fine Art at De Montfort University. She is currently developing a body of work that combines doodling and abstract expressionism, creating both small and large-scale pieces for upcoming exhibitions.
